Hand holding mashed up grapes
In all the world there are thousands of grape varietals. Like the difference between a Granny Smith and a Red Delicious apple, times thousands, evolved over thousands of years on multiple continents, and they have traveled the world as humanity has spread. There’s an incredible diversity! So, why do only a handful of grapes get recognition most of the time? Seriously, WHY???

We’re not going to say Chardonnay sucks but feeling like you can only focus on a few different grape varieties in just a couple of styles, because that’s what most people know, DOES SUCK. It’s like a chef being stuck making the same half a dozen menu items over and over again forever. We’re much more interested in exploring the underdog grapes and playing the field, so we seek out lesser-known grapes and plant a variety of grapes in our own vineyards so we can bring you something different.
Here are some of the unusual grape varietals we currently work with: Rosa Chardonnay, Rosa Riesling, Tocai Friulano, Refosco, Cinsaut
